Paper Craft Objects: Final Revision
Needless to say.. this was barely an improvement and I am not happy with my final product
I like to also comment how beneficial and interesting the group critique was and how much I appreciated everyone's feedback on my project. Thank you!
As the start of this project I began to redesign the actual structure of the house that I wanted to correct. The outline of the roof had to be on the bottom side of the roof so that I could glue it on the base properly. I also changed the size of the entire house making it
shorter in its length so that the arch of the rood may be a bit more drastic in reply to Harrison's comment about the roof (which I totally wanted to rework into my design without completely reworking the entire roof.)
As for the details, I had designed the garage door as an indented rectangle with an arched shape outside of the indent. I created the columns of the garage door and the exterior details on the windows and doors. I also added a side set of stairs for the patio for extra detail. I designed a pattern to create details of the shingles and created a small little chimney for all those who suggested it.
With all of that, the designs were all printed although they were not all made. As I was stressed out and did an assignment that was only due in three weeks, I sadly ran out of time to fold all these small objects for this blog post. I included the garage details and shingles although I did not get to the large majority of my details that I wanted.
For this blog post I will take photos of what I have done at the time of this blog although I hope to make updates to it. I also will have possibly made additions to the object for Wednesday's class that I will have done Tuesday night.
Personally I am disappointed with my inability to provide the detail I wanted by today's blog post although the shingles took a lot longer time than I was previously expecting and ate up most of my budgeted time.
